Do you know the facts on refilled vs. remanufactured inks? Knowing the difference will put you in control and allow you to make an informed decision for your company with confidence. Watch revenues grow and productivity improve just by changing the ink you use!

The “remanufactured” process is completely different from the “refilled” process, with the latter historically comprising of many small refillers producing low cost but very low quality offerings. As a result, end-users are hesitant to try and dealers are reluctant to
offer compatible ink or remanufactured products.

Fast forward to the present and the compatible and remanufactured market today has matured and revolutionized. Technology, components and logistics are now more sophisticated than ever. The “recycling” phenomenon is embraced by end-users and products are truly backed by performance consistency, quality and value.

Colorlabs mail addressing products are precisely remanufactured. Our extensive remanufacturing process involves heavy
investment in testing and preparation equipment, to include electrical-integrity soak and insulation testing, chip
integrity and functionality.

1. We begin by ensuring that only original cartridges are used. This means the cartridges have never been refilled or previously remanufactured. Colorlabs traces each cartridge’s origin from the manufacturing date, process and batch codes through a comprehensive physical inspection and document verification.

2. The cleaning process begins after catridges are hand-picked and identified of single use. Cartridge chambers are cleaned and any ink remnants are flushed with de-ionized cleaning agents. A

follow-up centrifuge evacuation is conducted to fully eliminate excess particles and fluids.

3. Cartridges are then filled with fill-speed specifications, volume and seal with only the finest quality ink formulatons. Products are primed and weighed for volume and set overnight for re-inspection.

4. Colorlabs product engineers test filled cartridges in vacuumsealed chambers for atmospheric pressure changes in addition to simulating other realistic environments, ensuring leak-proof seal integrity.

5. Nozzle firing and quality are tested under a variety of synergistic printing environments following strict testing protocols. Optical line and color density, dry time, decap time and banding on various substrates along with the USPS Intelligent Barcode output are only a few of the criteria we evaluate throughout the product life cycle.

This comprehensive remanufacturing process takes place in our own producton facility, right here in the US. We control the entire process to ensure full product quality and integrity.

Colorlabs is confident our carefully formulized inks deliver reliable, consistent quality and performance that we provide a 100% quality guarantee.
